Coronavirus Information

Riddell Country Practice is open as usual in the coming days, weeks and months ahead. We are here to help support you, your family and our community.

We are now offering Telehealth appointments to all patients, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Social distancing is an essential part of the response, and is also important when seeking medical care.

Medicare has helped doctors to provide Telehealth to help fight coronavirus. Private fees apply and Medicare rebates are available if you have attended the clinic for a face to face appointment within the previous 12 months.  Pension card holders and children aged 15 and under will be bulk billed if they qualify for a Medicare funded Telehealth consultation.

Please phone reception and ask for Telehealth. You can book online via Appointuit, but please note that Appointuit will only give you the choice of Telephone consultation or a face to face consultation.

If your doctor decides that you need further examination or a procedure you may be asked to come to RCP. If this is required, we will take every precaution to avoid exposing you to infection. For example, we will ask you to wait in your car rather than the waiting room, and to go straight to your doctor’s room when called. There won’t be any magazines or toys around. If you have viral symptoms you may also be required to wear a mask (we have only a limited supply of these).

The Kyneton Hospital located at 7 -25 Caroline Chisholm Drive, Kyneton has a Coronavirus Testing Service - phone them on 54229900 for assessment before you attend.
