Dr Jude Ellis is a passionate practitioner who believes in a holistic approach to health. She encourages the patient to be the central figure in a team approach to their mental and physical health. Jude is particularly interested in mental health and lifestyle counselling.
Jude completed her medical degree at Monash University in 1995 and later spent four years working full time with the RAAF. During this time she completed training in Aviation Medicine and Aeromedical Evacuation. Since then, Jude has also completed further education in Nutritional and Environmental Medicine, and also Focussed Psychological Strategies.
In 2002 Jude joined the team at Riddell Country Practice. She continues to work part time with the RAAF as Reserve Medical Officer, and also has a role with MCCC as a GP supervisor working with GP trainees.
Jude is enthusiastic about the art of yoga and has commenced training to become a yoga teacher, with the view to provide local restorative yoga classes and also yoga therapy for chronic health conditions. She enthusiastically promotes the general mind and body benefits of yoga, and believes it can play a key role in self-awareness and personal growth.
When not absorbed in her work, yoga and further studies – Jude loves snow skiing with her family, jogging, reading, and exploring the world of space and astronomy.
